Well folks. We have so much news...all good and so much we dont know where to start. We finished up the 25th Annual Crisis Negotiation Competition at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX today. We went to judge but we had many of our teams there from around the country. All of them performed exceptionally and many of them placed! 1st Place Team - Portland Police Bureau - their first year here and winner of the Pacific Northwest Competition in October 2014 3rd Place Team - Missouri State Highway Patrol - their first year here and winner of the Missouri State Competition in May 2014 1st Place Corrections - Iowa Department of Corrections - their first year here and winner of the Iowa State Competition in June 2014 (Team Split) 2nd Place Corrections - Iowa Department of Corrections - their first year here and winner of the Iowa State Competition in June 2014 Also there with a great showing were our friends from the Iowa State Patrol and the Texas Department of Public Safety. We also enjoyed learning so much from the many teams who brought innovative technology as well as new techniques and ideas. There are so many folks who whose efforts we truly admire in getting their teams to competition. None of these teams got here without work behind the scenes to raise money, juggle budgets, cajole supervisors etc. Congrats to all and thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of it.
