Well folks another Veterans Parade right here in Lewis county. check. I want to say Thank you to those that participated this year. Without you we wouldnt have this event. It takes time and preparation on the behalf of the entries to participate and the pride showed as you drove through today. Thank you to the spectators for coming out to the streets today and waving a flag or yelling Thank you or just standing back and catching some candy. Every year gets better as we are in the learning process of all the things that are involved with pulling this event off. I want to Thank Adam Dodd Deborah Pennington Randy Pennington LuAnn LuAnn Marie Champ-Briggs Melissa Champ Brandie Devine for assisting to get er done. Allison Hilliker did an amazing job performing the national Anthem. We had no rain as the weather stayed decent. Not sure of the entry count just yet but a nice turn out.. Following the Parade there was a moving ceremony at the Kemp Olson Park by the Veterans brick wallWendy Carolan you did amazing. There are some other events here in Lewis county for the community whether you be a Veteran or not, look them up and go attend..Freedom is NOT Free so in saying that we must not forget our men and women who are serving or have served, we must carry on with hope for the POW to have final arrival to our US Soil and those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
