Well folks this is the end of week four or two thirds through my treatment. The treatment is beginning to kick a bit harder than before,but all in all so far so good,I suspect the next two weeks will not be so forgiving. If you give a man a flat pack for self assembly he never reads the instructions until he has pieces and screws left over. Two weeks ago I was given two sheets of possible side effects that could develop from the treatment I am receiving and the most suitable food for consumption.(diet)!! In true male tradition it was filed in the nearest empty drawer, due to boredom and nothing to read I found the sheets and started to amuse myself with the information. That soon changed as I was immediately alarmed at some of the information contained within, especially where it mentioned that they could shrink some tumours by as much as 10 centimetres. On its own this is excellent news and not a problem,but it then goes on to say that in some cases other organs nearby could suffer collateral damage. Due to the fact that my radiotherapy treatment is being delivered to the groin region of my body,you can understand my concern.!! With two more weeks of treatment I could end up going home half the man I was arriving here. I have been in touch with my long suffering sidekick and foreman mechanic Donnie Red Macleod,after explaining my potential life changing problem,his silence was deafening until he burst into a bout of uncontrollable laughter. When he finally managed to lift himself off the floor we decided that the best way forward would be to design a lead lined pouch that can accommodate the family jewels during treatment. All of the men who are receiving treatment here in Aberdeen think it is a brilliant idea,as they are equally concerned about their own particular circumstances. All I need now is plumbers who are good at working lead,might try Kenneth Guy and Murdo Megan. if this were to be a successful venture I would prefer that any profits realised were beneficial to local tradesmen from barvas. Who knows by this time next year we might be millionaires hehe.!!!!
