Well friends, it looks like we will be leaving this place today, - TopicsExpress

Well friends, it looks like we will be leaving this place today, and to our home in the city. Stevens oxygen stayed just above the acceptable level all night, and then, just like yesterday morning, at 6 am, it was down in the upper 80s again. An hour later, after being put on, and removed from oxygen, it was back to an acceptable level. I really didnt expect to be discharged after that incident. This morning, however, Steven was up and walking the halls before the doctor came in. The doctor actually met him in the hall and asked about his night and whether he had to have oxygen. After telling him the situation, he said he would speak with his team and get back with us. I told him I understood. We knew that one of the team doctors was already on board for us to be discharged and I mentioned to the other doctor that, I was a worrier and that I already had a pulse/ox reader that I was planning on using whenever he was discharged just to make sure there were no other incidents. The doctor immediately said that made him feel better and that he was ok with us leaving. So, now I am the worried one, and I certainly dont want something to happen to Steven on my watch. He is already sick of me pestering him to drink, eat, and use his spirometer, So I am sure now he will be ready to kick me to the curb. Lucky me, he still has to have a driver, so, I can always pull that card. Thank you all for your prayers. This journey is far from over and the true test is still ahead of us. Please continue to pray for Stevens continued improvement and ultimate healing. I know it is your prayers that have gotten us this far and I know that God has provided us a Christmas we will never forget.
