Well guys this week we tested appdupe/ for low cost clone scripts. The script we purchased was called Maxflix and is a netflix Clone script. The script itself did not really function after following the very basic install script that came with it. We purchased our script on there $9 offer. Which is really a very reasonable price. But since the installer does not check for dependencies, it will suggest that it completed successfully and be riddled with bugs, sadder still the instructions that come with it do not list all required dependencies we discovered this when we checked the servers error logs and found it was calling things that were not listed as dependencies. The design is sleek and stylist which was a drawing factor. But obviously functionality is everything and when i asked live help on there site why it wasnt working i was met with statements like... what do you want for $9. Accused us of doing something wrong during the automated install without giving any answer to what we could have done wrong. Then made accusations about us planning to turnkey there low cost script ( they were unaware at this point that it was being reviewed for recommendation). They then consistently tried to sell us there $150 installation package 3 times. I will also ad when display PHP errors was switched on the script is full of undefined variables and actually has multiple config.php files the installer did not update! So lets sum this up into sections: Design: 8/10 Ease of installation: 2/10 Customer support: 0/10 Installation Guide: 2/10 Price: 6/10 (this would have been 10 out of 10 if the auto installer actually did what it said on the tin) Coding Quality: 3/10 Overall rating: 21/60 BAD BUY
