Well, heres a serious sidetrack for tonight!!! While getting some good laughs on the David Simmons Virginia snow pic thread, I went and watched the 7 things You didnt know about Goodfellas video, and there was a reference to the (arguably) first western movie The Great Train Robbery (1903)... As Im watching it, it dawned on me to look for Viaje a la Luna the first Sci-Fi movie ever made... what I DIDNT know, until now, was that there was a COLOR version of this movie made when it first came out-George Méliés the filmmaker, had made a hand-colored version in 1902! It was apparently lost for 7-8 decades, until discovered in 1989 (in really bad shape) and only recently has it been restored... sit back and enjoy this one!!
