Well, if it can happen to anyone...that anyone is usually me!! Rhett and I decided we would take the kayak out and fish....the ocean was pretty rough, but we both agreed that we can do this! We started out.....a couple of big waves hit us, but we got through them....then we saw the BIG one! It hit with a vengence....flipped us out.....paddles, ice chest, bait, fishing pole , etc!! It was over my head, the kayak was upside down being pushed into shore by the waves. (I wasnt worried about that because it was floating) as much as I was worried about my new underwater camera; my prescription Costa sunglasses; Rhetts Italian Kenora sunglasses.(Those two sunglasses costs more than the new Kayak! No kidding! Everett is not going to be happy!) We looked and looked until we were exhausted....There were some teen-age boys nearby and I offered them $100 if they could find the sun glasses) They looked and looked, but didnt find them! Rhett found the camera and the fishing pole, but both sunglasses are gone! I cried, but gave up and came on back in the townhouse....Rhett stayed and searched, but I guess the dolphins are wearing those sunglasses! :-) So here I am on the computer instead of out on my new kayak! Well, maybe tomorrow! You would think I would learn my lesson...this is the 3rd time I have lost prescription sunglasses in the ocean....first time on friend Billys boat; second time on the float, then today on Kayak! I know you are thinking....Why would anyone wear expensive sunglasses in the ocean! Well, I am so blind that I would not be able to see and enjoy those dolphins that are jumping all around the Kayak or any other sea life that needs his picture taken! I did take a couple of pictures of Rhett searching after the spill! PS: The Selfie of me looks like a drowned rat.....I actually felt like one, but I was so so happy to have my camera!
