Well in four days of my vacation we expanded the kitchen 2 feet by 5.5 feet. it is amazing how many opertunities that gives us with our kitchen design. We put in new Italian walnut laminate floors in kitchen and stairwell. We took out the old island, which is being used for my reloading table base. We just closed on our rental property Friday. I hired a friend from work to help me with the property. We tore down a 8 x 20 deck and stairs and load all the wood to burn at home. I now have a cord of wood to burn. Just got a fire going this morning. Day two. my friend and I got all the deck in place. Day three we did the stairs and about 100 spindles around the deck and stairs. Ruth worked with us today. We were most fortunate to have beautiful weater today. 58 degrees and sunny. Gas and water turned on today. Furnace and water heater working. The good with the bad. all the faucets leak, toilet tank drains in about an hour, bathtub drain leaks, but is easy to get at, roof leaks by chimney, We are waiting for estimate for new roof. Two doors down from our rental is the exact same house, In fact there are three houses in a row that are the same. These houses are on substandard lots 50 x50. So if they burn down you can not rebuild with new city codes. We looked at the house two doors down from ours which was for sale and vacant. This is a 3 bedroom 1 bath home with 1 car garage. The home is in move in condition except for carpeting. We put in an offer on this home and it was accepted. We close November 25. So we will be looking for renters in December. I may already have a new hire at work for my first renter on this property. Today Sundy we will rest and watch our Bears. Love Glenn and Ruth.
