Well, it looks like its going to happen at last. Tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at 8:30a.m., I go into UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill for the cochlear implant surgery. I should be in recovery by midday. Its been a full year getting to this point, and it will be another year of audiologists visits to adjust the sound processor I will be wearing, but I am glad to finally get this part started. Look for me at the end of January to be sporting my bionic ear!
