Well it seems like our new norm is to head to the ER every month or so. Darrell had to be taken again to the ER after he passed out and full down a full flight of stairs, on his back and head first. That happened yesterday morning. Austin learned how to call 911, something all of our kids can now do. Because he had pains in his back they took him in as a trauma patient, strapped to a board and all that. They did a bunch of scans, mri and ct and found that he had NOT damaged his back again. No broken bones at all. That was a great relief. However they admitted him to the hospital through tomorrow as they do additional tests to find out why he blacked out. Every time one of the doctors comes in to see him, they remember him from his spinal cord surgery. It was just such a rare condition that anyone who has worked on him remembers. They are still amazed to find that he can actually walk. Austin even commented today that he thought it was a miracle. I have to agree. We are praying that they can figure this out and keep him on track to a full recovery. In any case we have the makings for book.
