Well it was a fun vacation week in Portland. I saw a lot, had tons of fun and hung out with friends. I set the goal for myself to have some well deserved time of months ago since I knew I would be working a lot. It was also good to get away with Carrie and spend some quality time as a couple. Sometimes life gets to be routine and has a negative effect on relationships so it was good for the 2 of us to reconnect. We wanted to find out if this area was a place we could move to one day and have decided we will. But my kids need me so for now we have decided to wait until the girls are much older. I know some had thought perhaps I would run into Jill or perhaps meet for coffee or something. Although that could have been nice and all I really didnt feel a need to see her again. I personally dont believe she has matured or solved her codependancy issues. Theres some negativity there I dont want to be associated with anymore. Some good friends reminded me of that and how much better I am now in comparison to my last visit. So Carrie and I will move forward and have already begun to plan things for the upcoming year and a summer visit back to Portland with Sydney & Madison. I feel great knowing I did everything I wanted to while here and look forward to the future and will be happy to be back home with my Minneapolis friends and family
