Well its been 2 days now and I am feeling that I might survive! About 6 weeks ago I got my lungs full of cement dust. They were cutting a grade level door into the basement. I have COPD (lung disease from second hand smoke) They cleared my lungs but infection set in taking down my immune system within 3 days I had a relapse of Rheumatic fever (which nearly killed me when I was 34) and pneumonia set in in both lungs. The fluid is finally clearing from my lungs and yesterday i could take my first full breathes. The worst part was always being tired and absolutely having no strength.Today i walked down stairs and back up without being terribly dizzy. I spent time back and forth to the hospital. The good news is that I am on the mend I hope! I need to get working on a dress for Jamies wedding and that will be easier because I am 25 lbs. lighter than when this all started. Was I scared? yes! Not of dying I have all that settled and I am not afraid to meet my maker but so much I still want to do so tonight I am very greatful that I have a bit more time. last night my friend EVE treated me to Persephone Theatres presentation of Patsy Cline it was such a good play and I only coughed once during the play!
