Well, its just 3 weeks until my next 12-week MP transformation challenge begins. Someone said to me over the weekend: Well, then, youd better make the most of the next 3 weeks because you wont be able to eat what you like when youre doing the challenge. Hmmm.Two things wrong with that. Firstly, I WILL be able to eat what I like when I am on the challenge. No one will be stopping me from eating cake or ice-cream. However, in order to achieve the results I want, I will be CHOOSING to eat foods that will make that happen. Eating cake and ice-cream are not on that list. Secondly, making the most of the next 3 weeks was an inference to eating whatever sugary, fat-laden junk food I wanted over the next 3 weeks, and then starting afresh when the challenge starts. I will indeed be making the most of the next 3 weeks, but it wont be to stuff myself on rubbish food. I am using this time to tighten up my nutrition, to write out my goals, to plan out my exercise sessions, to look at any habits or hurdles may hold me back, and to identify ways around these. I am looking at these 3 weeks as an extension to my 12-week challenge. In effect, Im embarking on a 15-week challenge. Ive already sorted out my food journal where I will be tracking EVERYTHING over these next 15 weeks. I am also taking the time to think about what kinds of tools I can use for motivation during this time. Everything we do in life is a choice. If you are not consciously choosing one thing, we are subconsciously choosing another. My choice is to keep moving toward my goals and becoming happier, healthier, fitter and stronger. Whats yours?
