Well, its nostalgia week at the Watson house. On Friday (Halloween) Neta and I celebrated 55 years of marriage. We had a quiet evening and enjoyed a wonderful steak (a tradition with us). Today (Sunday) after a lot of prayer and floor-walking, we announced our coming retirement from pastoring. Our plan is to conclude our ministry at Family Worship Center on the last Sunday of December. We originally intended to be here only 4 months, but we have stayed 3 years. I told the folks this morning that this one is tough because we both know that FWC will be our last pastorate. We have had a great ride, pastoring some wonderful people in 2 states and 3 districts. Now we plan to travel some, continue to minister in Poland and Central Europe, and catch up on some family time. We also expect, the Lord willing, to have time to during our travels to visit many of our friends and see more of this great country. Of course, the success of these plans is dependent on our health. Weve both had some health issues, but were doing pretty good for a couple of 70-somethings. Thanks to all those who have kept us in your friends column and in your prayers. We look forward to seeing you on down the road.
