Well, its not great news, but its not bad news either. He is not - TopicsExpress

Well, its not great news, but its not bad news either. He is not in remission, but the cancer has not come back either. He is stable. He will start a 3 month check up for the next 18 months. He will also do a little maintenance with chemo for 3 weeks and then off for a week. His blood work looks great but the bone marrow biopsy number is what we need to work on and by doing the chemo the Drs think we can get that down. Now to say that the transplant didnt work would be wrong. They gage a stem cell transplant success in multiple myeloma treatment by how long he can go without needing another one. So far its not in the books. We are relieved and hopeful! Thanks for all the support and prayers- Al Tordoff Jr and Cherry
