Well, its official. Im the proud owner of a 30 Catalina sailboat. Its dry-docked In Belfast, Maine. Its currently 20 below there and the boat cant be put in the water until it thaws in April. Frank is going into the Army. Spencer is moving into his own apartment. So, first thing Monday, the house goes up for sale and after Frank leaves for the army, Im off to Belfast, Maine, always wanted to see new England. The boat is in excellent shape, but does need some tlc. Most of the wood inside and out is weathered and needs to be stained and varnished. I will be living there while I clean it up and add some needed electronic and navigational upgrades. Will send pictures and may create a web page so, if you like, you can drop in from time to time to see whats going on. I have about 64 cubic feet of storage space on board, basically, enough room for my TV, MP3 player, my sound system, laptop, clothes, cookware, and a few personal items (minimalism). Virgin Islands here I come!
