Well ladies and gents.....sad times, TOTB14....yes 14, lets not get confused here TOTB13 was in 2014, TOTB14 is in 2015.....hope thats a nice and simple explanation! lol.....Anyways, TOTB14 is almost a year away....and, if like me you thought TOTB13 was THE most unbelievably awesome minblowing car event of the year and the best yet....then you will agree, sad times....a year to wait! BUT FRET NOT PEOPLE! You see, new things happened almost a year ago, we at Straightliners created the SMC....thats the Straightliners Media Crew and boy are these guys smoking both barrels! I must take a moment to introduce to you our crew, a team of guys that are taking the promotional and media side of our events to new heights, talented to the core, for example our photographers Naveed Aslam of Focusmedia, James Temple from JT Motorsport Images, Simon Miskelly from All Action Media, Chaz Maslin from CM Photography and the infamous Aron Vickers of Avon Vickers Photography were at TOTB capturing absolutely breath-taking images....cut these guys in half and they have Photography written like a stick of a rock through their spinal chords. These guys work hard and edit hard, they help promote and capture moments we will cherish forever and it keeps TOTB alive while it rests like a caged animal ready to be unleashed from the garages of Straightliners by none other than TOTBs very own Dave Naxton....hes currently polishing his baby....images coming soon as will more from the SMC. We are not simply going to throw everything at you at once, the SMC have put togethr some of the finest galleries and they will be released, one a week for the next few weeks so keep watching. The SMC are grafters, they really are a special unit that capture the real TOTB, the setting up of the event, the teams throwing together cars like they were born with ECU flashing software built in and spanners for hands, jacks for legs and engines as hearts.....the images capture special moments that mean something to those who know the story behind the path the cars and the crews took to get there.....the moments that capture the true story behind TOTB and not just the hardcore fans that queue up for what seems like forever in scorching heat to come in and watch Europes finest smash it out in Saturday Boot Camp....then the Sunday showdown......the stench of burning rubber, 1200BHP unleashed on Titanium Conrods connecting a precision beast crank that smashes an oversized piston into perfectly controlled air and fuel mixtures that rush like smoking chariots out of the outlet manifold through into the TOTB atmosphere where they make exhausts sing like engineering operas....the tingle down your spine as they lift that clutch and shred rubber as they tear down the runway or the squeeling under the screaming motor of the tuner cars accurately thrown around the Handling Circuit....the SMC capture those moments on pause for eternity....a moment that makes my hairs stand on end and the back of my head tingle.... And then there is another key member of the SMC, a talent that has been tucked away secretly drinking so much creative juice it would make mere mortals hearts explode and their brains turn to scrambled eggs....a talent that never ceases to amaze me, he is an inspiration and a guy that has it all in his head....turns up and grafts his ass off.....then races home into his editing room and hits fast forward, rewind, cut, paste play stop fast slow back forward cut cut cut paste pause play stop play stop pause......aaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggh!...... ....but then.....out of the depths comes the master piece......yeah your spoilt you lot, already Aron The Don Vickers has blown us away with sneaky peaks of his Photo wizardry....but now the icing on the cake.....we are proud to have our one and only video media crew member, our #1 behind the motion picture and genius... ....TOTB community i give you official SMC member Mr Tim TC Media Crawford in the friggin house.....pull up your zipper, sit the hell down.....go to our website and watch this teaser ALREADY released a mere week after the sensational 2014 event.....Tim Crawford we bow before thee......the SMC are blessed yet again.....and so are you!
