Well, like a lot of Christmas s lately, Im up before the kids. Reflecting on how blessed and lucky I am to have such a wonderful life. My parents are still with me and for the most part in good health. Since having his heart attack 5 or so years ago, my dad is feeling great, we got him a dog after hes heart attack which I truly believe healed his heart. He was just fitted with hearing aids and I believe he had the best Christmas this year because he could hear the joy in the room as the family gathered and loved. My mom is well and of cause overdue the food again this year, but thats what moms do and all though we tease her horribly, we are lucky to have her. The rest of us have happy healthy kids who truly love being with the family not just during the holidays. My sister and her husband took in an exchange student from China this year, his American name is Gary and he is the perfect fit for all of us. His English has improved considerably in such a short period and although he does not celebrated Christmas in China, I believe he will never forget his first Christmas in America. I watched him last night and saw a boy who is pure joy. His parents are very lucky to have such a nice young man. My family and my friends are very special and I wouldnt trade any of them.
