Well my friends, its been a long journey, but tomorrow we finally - TopicsExpress

Well my friends, its been a long journey, but tomorrow we finally to go to the polls to decide the future of Scotland. Tomorrow that future lies in your hands... I wont go into a long description as to why I support independence, as most of you already know, but will post this video which sums it up well. Instead I would like to focus on what an amazing journey the last two years have been. It has been a truly exhilarating, motivating, inspiring and exhausting experience, during which I have witnessed the first buds of the flowering of Scottish democracy. People that have never been engaged in politics, that have never thought they could make a difference, have seen the opportunity for real and meaningful change, for the chance to take control of their own future, and have got involved. This has seen hundreds of activitists campaigning for Yes across the Borders alone, organising countless streets stalls and public meetings all across the region, ranging from 80 people in small village halls like Walkerburn to over 500 people in the Volunteer Hall in Galashiels. Of course there have been some small challenges along the way, but the tiny minority that have strayed on both sides are insignificant and have in no way defined this process. The engagement of people in both the campaign and the debate should be celebrated. It is the perfect platform upon which to launch a new Scottish democracy. I have no doubt that tomorrow Scotland will vote Yes and we will take our first confident steps towards taking our place on the world stage as a nation in our own right. Immediately that this happens I know that everyone in Scotland will rally round and the heat and passion of the campaign from both sides will be directed towards taking our nation forward. Team Scotland includes all of us and this will be embraced from the moment the result is announced. With that decision the politics and posturing, by both sides, can also be removed and sensible, pragmatic negotiations will begin with the UK government. This vote is a positive expression of self-determination, a rejection of Westminster politics, but not of the other people of the UK. As has been said before, with a Yes vote England loses a surly lodger and will gain a good neighbour. A best of both worlds is two sovereign nations deciding where and when it makes sense to collaborate and share, and where it doesnt being able to do the right thing for the people that live there, not one having control... This vote tomorrow is just the beginning. Come and help us create a better future #voteYes https://youtube/watch?v=LJL0z5O67_M
