Well only 1 week to the North Herts Navigator and discounted entries finish tomorrow and online entries close on Thursday 16th and whilst you can enter on the day we cannot guarantee you a laminated map. As the map shows the busy dual carriageway A505 cuts across the area and I have marked the 4 safe crossing points: 1) traffic light crossroad, 2) flyover at Lilley, 3) underpass, 4) flyover at Great Offley. For those new to these events the procedure is that at registration you get the control card which you will punch at each checkpoint and a A5 sheet with checkpoint descriptions on which you will be able to compare with photos that will be on display at the start. At your start time between 9.00 and 10.30 you will be given the map which is marked up with checkpoints and their value and all you need to do is decide which way to head off to as many check points and you can within 3 hours and not be back late! I will post on here how the trails are riding after I have put the check points out on Friday and we look forward to see you all on the 19th October.
