Well the Elky was getting better and better and then... The two part products I ordered to refurbish the interior trim only shipped one part and has been almost two weeks on back order for the Promoter portion. Then, I was trying the new AC belt for proper tightness etc and it had the nerve to just DIE... would turn over but no life! Well after some trouble shooting I discovered the problem. A nearly 40 year old distributor with warn out parts and after having the vacuum lines so messed up it had literally shaved metal off the plate and carved a groove in the Ignition Control module. (See photos) A rebuilt distributor, new plugs and wires and the beast will live again!
