Well.....the Golden Boy turned 31 today. That is the name his sisters have dubbed him and.....so....it is now our name for him. He is not really a Golden Boy in the sense that in his entire life, he has never been disrespectful to his parents. He has no sense of entitlement. He is a hard worker and I dont ever remember having to tell him twice to do a chore. I think of a Golden Boy as someone getting things unearned....someone arrogant. There is no arrogance in him....only self confidence. His hard work and perserverance has caused his success. So....I will go along with the nickname his sisters have given to him because they think it is cute and they adore him. To me....he is only my son and if he was deemed a failure by the world, I would still be so proud of him. Happy Birthday, Taylor Merritt....Golden Boy.
