Well, the end of my day didnt end so well. Around 10:30-10:45 Im watching cars and some trucks turning around in my cul de sac...only to go outside to investigate whats going on...and my sweet neighbors house had caught on fire. It started in the garage and then went into the attic. Ive been up trying to get info and did. Wonderful fire fighters from Hixson, Samish, and Sedro-Woolley depts. came to the rescue... It is contained now, thank goodness. I cried and have had a couple of hot lemon tea, honey and brandy drinks to chill me out and put me to sleep. I dont like being the one to bring bad news to my neighbors who are renting it out. Thank goodness the family got out ok. Gave them some clothes/jackets, house shoes, etc...since its cold out. They have 2 little kids. Bless their hearts. Several of us neighbors were out letting them know we had room for them, but thank goodness they have family nearby they can stay with. Thats even better when you can be with family! Nothing beats family!! Finally heading to bed. Been up since about 5:30...Very thankful I dont have to teach in the morning. Had all my parent conferences these past 2 days/nights. Im sure all concerned would appreciate your prayers as they go through this ordeal!
