Well, the horde (two grandsons and a son) have headed out and after a week of bedlam, the cat and I have the place to ourselves again. Of course, it will probably take me a week to find the remotes hiding place, pick up all the Nerf darts, accumulate all the various Nintendo DS game components, and vacuum up the pine needles from my seasonal decor. (Note to self: next year, cedar boughs only - not pine.) But first: gramma gets to fall asleep sitting up in the chair by the fire, with a cat on my lap.
