Well, the rain didn’t hold off yesterday! We have had an amazing June thus far—I think this is only the second time that we’ve actually had to worry about getting things wet. The reaction from folks who answered the door was interesting—the fact that a dripping candidate is showing up to talk with them apparently does carry some weight. Unfortunately, the pages stick together, so it’s a challenge! We finished up 217 yesterday—basically everything from Old Town to 22nd. I enjoyed seeing the variety of neighborhoods, the changes encountered going door to door. In some areas, you might have a well-kept property next to one with knee-high grass. In other areas, the neighborhood has a much more homogeneous feel. We are a city of contrasts. We started today on 201 and worked our way over to Cap Sante, then south along the 1100 block. The walking list we’re using does pose challenges—organized by precinct, it cuts off right in the middle of some streets. Not exactly logical but it’s the best resource we have. We’re making good progress—over half done. Kirk has a great completion map—check it out to see exactly where we’ve been. I welcome your questions/comments. Thank you for your continuing interest in my campaign.
