Well...the rain has made it difficult to play a round today...I know what youre thinking... all he talks about is golf...well lets think about this from my point of view...Im too old to put on a football uniform... I could always try out for a soccer goalie...Im about as wide as the net...ball could never get by...course my vertical leaping ability is not my best attribute so that pretty much rules out basketball... then theres riding a bicycle...I would probably need the name of a good colorectal surgeon...I have a stationary riding implement and incline treadmill...swimming... that would be good...if it werent for the fact that Im not a channel marking buoy ...tennis...lol...dont think so...so this leaves golf...I get to swing a weighted stick, get in plenty of walking...a golf course is not flat and level so I get my cardio by traversing the inclines on the outer edges of the fairway ( I get lots of cardio), lots of bending over touch your toes kinda action ( when picking up your ball out of the cup or a hazard peoples) and I get to do this with the company of people who make me laugh...and we all know that laughter is the best medicine....and its a great way to stay in shape....so see...GOLF it is...and you know...here in Arlington there is a covered driving range with heat and air...I know... we have it rough... and if all else fails... at the previously mentioned facility... they serve a mean gin and tonic...golf doesnt sound so bad now, huh?
