Well, the tools are all packed, trailer is locked, and the rig is ready for our long journey to Indianapolis, IN, where we will be starting with Chuck Phelps and Colonial Hills Baptist Church next week. Over the last week we have been testing, tweaking, training, and putting the final spit n polish on everything here at Westwood. We got to see how the new acoustics sounded during a volleyball game where we cheered on the Westwood Lady Warriors, and it was neat to be able to hear every word the officials said. They even commented, WOW! What a difference! The new tech crew is about 15 strong now. We spent 2 days with them training them in philosophy of ministry and how to serve, as well as giving them a ton of technical training. We walked everyone around to the different stations and taught them each job. What a crew! Sunday, it was 100% their turn to run the show... and they did. Led by their new tech director Caleb Wishart, they began with the all important morning tech meeting. And really for a first service with a brand new crew, things went very, very well. I was very pleased with their performance. After our first service, pastor really wanted to elevate the production level on the video side, and so we installed a production switcher into the system as well as the components to make it work. What a change for both the IMAG and the live internet stream. This job has been one we at Ministry Tech will remember for a very long time! To all those here at Westwood, THANK YOU! All of you came together as the body of Christ and put your hands to the work at hand. Just a few short weeks ago, the building was at 30.99 seconds of RT-60 (or reverb). It was so bad you could not even hold a conversation 2 feet from someone. And now, we are under 2 seconds. You have a state of the art control room, excellent audio, video, and lighting complete with a custom moving lighting rig. Your space is now flexible and truly multi-purpose. Each of you has made me feel welcome and a part of the family, and I will miss all of you. As I said, when I addressed the congregation a week ago, To God be the GLORY, great things HE has done! Please stay with us on FB to see our newest jobs and pray for those churches as well as for Ministry Tech. We have lots of miles to cover yet this fall.
