Well, this is happening in Taiwan, though the situation seems to have been somewhat diffused now by riot police. This is precisely what we should be doing to oppose the Trans Pacific Partnership, which, like this trade agreement between Taiwan and China, is being rammed through our own legislature, and with hardly an oppositional cry from the public. From Wikipedia: The Sunflower Student Movement (太陽花學運), also known as the March 18 Student Movement (318學運) or Occupy Taiwan Legislature (佔領國會事件), is a protest movement that began on March 18, 2014, in the Legislative Yuan and, later, also the Executive Yuan of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The students protested the passing of the Cross-Strait Service Trade Agreement by the ruling Kuomintang at the legislature without clause-by-clause review as previously compromised by the two major parties. The protesters perceive the trade pact with China would hurt Taiwans economy and leave it vulnerable to political pressure from Beijing.
