Well, this is pretty close to my definition of a perfect piece of comedy. Its 15 minutes, and absolutely worth the watch. John Oliver talks about the Miss America pageant, and uses it as a springboard to make points about how women are viewed in America as a larger issue, all while making some truly hilarious jokes. https://youtube/watch?v=oDPCmmZifE8 Its really easy to poke fun at old and demeaning practices while simultaneously using them as a scapegoat to avoid talking about ideas for moving forward from said rituals, but John does it right.
