Well, this was just beyond stupid. This is pretty sure to lead court cases where women and their lawyers are set against their own fetus and its lawyer. Way to go! And addressing other parts of the article: Seventeen states label substance abuse during pregnancy as child abuse. Should really only count if they intend to keep the child. Why would they put the thing under such conditions and bare it anyways? Seriously. Thirty-eight states consider fetuses to be persons in homicide or manslaughter cases, which can be used to accuse women of murder if a fetus dies. Should count, actually, if it was meant to be kept. I mean, its absurdly difficult for some people to have a baby and put much work into a pregnancy--and then losing it? Its like losing a child--I mean, obviously; thats the mindset theyre in, and it is devastating!
