Well this will be my last post as Youth Coordinator and after - TopicsExpress

Well this will be my last post as Youth Coordinator and after reading all the beautiful notes, cards and that incredible scrapbook given to me last night, I can honestly say that this has been the most rewarding role I have had so far. There are so many God moments that there is no way I could even recall them all. I am going to bore you as I am entitled to just say a thank you back to all those who have been by my side through this Vinnies journey. No question that Jacob Miller was and still is a true star. I first arrived at Vinnies so naive about the role and without you; I would have walked out the door within the first 3 months. Jacob you are the Vinnies spiritual adviser I couldn’t live without, my OCD organiser but most of all a friend for life. (The octopus is here to stay xx). To my amazing Feasters who jumped on board to try something new when no-one believed we could or would!!! Clare Scallon my little soul sister who can turn me into tears in one second when recalling a Feast moment or celebrating the highs and lows of life. Xavier Young what an amazing spirit you have and your amazing calmness is infectious. Thank you for your open arms. Ray Kennedy just an absolute pleasure to have met you and my shout for coffee when those Uni years are finally over :). Angela Donovan the rock of Vinnies who has seen so many of us come and go. Lots of prayers for what the future brings you xx. Frances Cole Our sarcasm together is pretty appalling but we love it and we do it well together. Moments such as you leaving the room in hysterics or enjoying free lolly-snakes – priceless. Bernadette Walker – Car rides and amazing talks about everything and anything. I have seen such an amazing transformation in you and it is only going to get better!! Coffee is on again soon xx. To the young Vinnies who think that I inspire them but in reality we inspired each other. Liv Fleming – A girl who karate chops (ha ha) brick walls or whatever is in her way to show the passion inside. I can’t wait to see you continue this journey – Teagan, first time I met you was at the retreat and our laughter session. Wow, your laughter radiated through the whole room and it is one of those God moments for sure. Teagan, I’m just going to keep telling you till you really hear it but “God Loves Beautiful” xx . Lisa McConnon It has been amazing watching your Vinnies journey from work experience to a full blown Vinnies youth member. Thanks for being part of it all. Connor Fox, what a legend you are!!! When I see you with the kids or asylum seekers or anyone we help you always give them your full self. That is such a gift and I am so lucky to have met you. I will hopefully get the joy of seeing where this life leads you. Dan Prichard: Selflessness has taken on a whole new meaning after meeting you!!! When I think about the “going the extra mile” story, you just blew that idea out of the water with your actions for others (not just words) . Dan your extra mile is like Forrest Gump who just keeps going..... So to you Dan I say: Run Dan Run xx To those terrific sisters – Bianca Zagni and Annie Zagni, just such an awesome pleasure to know you both. On and upwards we go! To Amberlei Darlington Beresford and Becky Barry, the two best chickens anyone could ever want or need. Love you girls and so glad you are heading into new things xx. Thanks so much for singing for us at Mass Amberlei :) To all the LHP crew and Leanne Prichard thank you for going for it and being part of the next movement. To all the St Marys girls, Olivia Spencer, Lauren Mccarthy and Alyce Hennessy and the crew, Mt Carmel, what a great year last year Zoe, Susie and Shannon to name a few. Your achievements over the last couple of years is a credit. To Riki my bro and man of steel, thanks for the best buddy camp memories I could ask for. Food fight or not, no one will make a better team than we did xx To my fantastic work colleagues. Walking into work every day is a joy and I love you guys(girls). So many more so thanks!! Okay so I have just named Hobart and written an essay on my Vinnies life but it was so amazing. The greatest lesson I will take away to my next role is this: If I have inspired you and it sounds like I have then it proves that ordinary people with their own flaws and weaknesses is all you need to make a little change to someone else. God Bless and Arohanui (much love) xx
