Well to everyone who knows Amanda Denney was almost lost to us 8 days ago , today I got to see her open her eyes and respond to my talking to her for the first time in 8 days !!!!! I was so happy like a kid in a candy store!!! to walk in there and see her respond like that!!!! this has been so stressful ....Tomorrow , they will try once again to remove the ventilator, she was very restless for awhile while I was there, so I asked the staff to help her and they upped her pain medication and it seemed to help, shes still having difficulty breathing on her own due to the fact that the infection her perforated ulcer attacked the weakest part of her,, her lungs,,, lets hope she can come off tomorrow!
