Well today I began my journey as a black belt. Years of sweat, blood, tears and pushing myself with lots of frustration and elation mixed in to get this far. I know that I still have much to learn and much to teach but am looking forward to the challenges that lay ahead. I want to give special thanks to my wife and instructor Diane Pack, who poured her time and knowledge into me and gave me the opportunity to represent her and her martial arts instructors as a teacher and student of this wonderful art form. I also wish to thank masters Cheryl Hutchinson and Shane Lear for coming to the karate school and assisting in the black belt test. Special congratulations to my daughter Jamien Pack, and students Simon Smith, Carson Stoner and Brendon Stoner who also passed their black belt tests today.
