Well today I went to the Tackle and Gun show and at 8:45 thus morning it was a very cold and foggy start. Now one thing I remember from the T&G is that their food is quite expensive so I grabbed a doubke sausage and egg meal from McDonalds on the way there. Arriving at Stoneleigh Park I went and collected my prebooked ticket and went in. After a bit of a wander round looking at all the nice man things like guns, knives and bows and arrows I turned my attention back to the fishing world. Rod Hutchinson had an impressive range of new baits as well as the fantastic range of established bait ingredients and flavours for making your own baits. One stand I was very excited to have a look at was the Korum stand and getting to have a play with the soon to be released Snapper Dropshot rods and a look at the dropshot kits. Well I can honestly say I wasnt disappointed the rods are phenominal pieces of kit at very reasonable prices and the dropshot kit will very definitely catch you fish. I cant wait for these to be released. Fox had a very impressive range of kit and again some very nice dropshot kits within their Fox Range which I look forward to adding to my lure box. Powersolve Electronics Ltd had an impressive range of portable charging devices and I stand by what I said in a previous review of this company. You get what you pay for... having had several portable chargers and these out performs and out lasts all of them. There was a lure tank there this year with pike and a few perch in it and although I saw several companies casting lures, the only person I actually saw get a bite was Dave Harper using an ECOGEAR UK orange paramax (that should tell you how good they are). There were also a lot of very good reels, rods, poles and other goodies but I didnt want to write about everything. I hope you have enjoyed my post and found it useful, it was certainly a good day out looking at all the new goodies coming out. (On a last note it was nice to see that the not needed scantily clad women had been replaced this year with some rather nice motorbikes)
