Well today is my first real encounter with the yes team, other than the dudes Ive blocked on fb. Lol. Comes to door, have you thought about yer vote. Yes I said. Ahh, good he says yer voting yes. Epic fail to start with. Im sorry did I say I was voting yes? No, he says. Can you tell me why yer not voting yes... Well, I asked him why he thought Islay as one of the largest producers of whisky in Scotland needed to share their revenue with the rest of Scotland, and why they shouldnt be allowed to keep all their money... Hmm, and hes like yes but the money is kept in Scotland. Okay so you didnt understand my question, why should Islay subsidise you? Is that easier for you to understand. Ahh bug its kept in Scotland. Okay so you want your share of funds generated b the Islay whisky industry, but you dont want to share the Scottish funds with our uk neighbours. Hmm, how does that work? Nae answer so he moves on to food banks. Hmm, now bearing in mind Im a debt collector, know from years of experience how people in debt get there, and they never have any desire to pay it back.. So I says food banks eh! So is Scotland the only country in th world with food banks! Well no he days. So tell he then how you propose to eradicate them,? Putting more money into Scotland he says! From where? More jobs will generate more revenue, and these jobs? Where are they? When? So he says yeah we can get rid of food banks, so Im like youve no answered any question with a valid answer. Anyway, I says so food banks, why do we have them? Oh yeah that right, cos folks on low income favour sky, mobile phones, designer clothing, fags and booze over feeding themselves! No he says its not like that. Well see here son, if you honestly believe that away get yerself a job in debt collection and see where peoples priorities lie.
