Well today is my last official day in the office. Just over a week ago I spent 2 1/2 days with Sheriff Apperson bringing him up to date with all of the issues and general operation of the Sheriffs Office. Today I am finishing up several items and then I will be leaving the office, so that the new sheriff will have a little time to set up his office before the swearing in date. I will be keeping this page going for those that just wish to stay in touch with a retired sheriff, but you will not be seeing the critical updates and warnings from me, as I will no longer be in the office. For those of you that took and active role in helping pass on the information here I wish to thank you for caring about your community. Law enforcement is everyones responsibility and this was such a wonderful tool to get the message out to the community. I cannot tell you how many people told me how appreciative they were of the facebook posts. It was an honor for me to be your Sheriff and I wish Erik all the best in his endeavors as Sheriff.
