Well, today is this important anniversary. I remember the towers fell, right before I permanently moved to New York. I remember the pain, I remember the profiling - Where police officers practically stalked me, for years. I also remember how much closer New York became, because we fell even harder in love with it, and each other. I remember how afterward, Boston was bombed. My friends at school called me silly, and stupid, Because I was scared to go outside for a while after the Boston bombings. Have never spoken to them since, not because I stopped, but because they did. Im a man who has been through two major bombings, the target of separate hate crimes, and the victim racial profiling. I have dealt with them, completely. by. myself. Im not silly, Im a man. And I stand in remembrance of the thousands who know what its like, And the ones they have also lost. #NineEleven
