Well today was kind of boring at the store until right after school got out. Then a team of Middle school or partly high school shop lifters came in. Ive seen several of these types of operations and there is usually nothing that can be done because they split up and go different directions in the store taking things. This time the boss was there and saw them on the cameras and came out and closed the door to the outside and then caught one of them but the other ones were busy then throwing all the things they had stashed in their back packs into the shelving units. He rounded them all up and had them empty their backpacks but only one still had some bottles of fingernail polish in her pack. The video on the recorder showed them all stealing things at once and that they threw them different places when they were about to get caught. So we went around and got out the things they were trying to take and put them away. This was organized crime and was a team and they had a spotter at the front door. So, this is what the kids in the Chelan school system are planning during class. 6 girl team this time. Sometimes it is 2 or 3 guys or more. There are a few of these setups going on. So, now we cant allow any backpacks in the store. This was planned and it was being executed quickly and the target items were all known ahead of time by these girls. One was taking a Seahawks shirt and some other things and they all had bottles of nail polish and the very most expensive mascaras and false fingernails etc. They were quick. One of them came to the counter and started talking to me and asking me about working in the store and was eying the rings on the counter. I glanced up and saw the others dispersing in all directions and I knew what was happening but the chief caught them this time.
