Well today was my last day being a manager at Cocos!...wow... so i returned my keys and cleaned out my office today that was hard! but after 10 years of employment 8 of those years without a Raise or even a evaluation, going though hell and back after some major layoffs and being passed up for more than 1 promotion that should have gone to me! (Just saying!)...Lol.... i have decided to go back to being a server....(gulp)... i stayed a manager through the bad for many reasons mostly because i love my job, my employees and yes even my customers! However i will not allow my health or my children to suffer any longer, after losing 3.50 an hour a few years ago and then losing all my health benefits for me and my kids this last Christmas and now not even accruing any sick or vacation time anymore no 401k or even retirement is available... it seems worthless to be under the stress that comes with that job for the return i am getting from the title that i have there, just doesnt seem worth it anymore... it is hard to really take it all in right now... less money, less hours, no authority and my leadership...but its time... so i stepped down... but i have 1 more thing to say...I loved my job as a manager and i want to thank every employee (past and present) who made my job so AWESOME!! you are all UNDER APPRECIATED and never thanked enough for the work you do!!! But some do appreciate you so.... THANK YOU! You are all more than employees to me you are my FRIENDS! Thank you for the memories you have made in my life... i will truly miss bossing you all around! Hahaha!
