Well, tomorrow is my last day of my first semester in college. I can finally say, I am proud of myself. I may have taken the long the way but, it was the right way for me. I wanted to quit many times in my life, I cant count how many times I begged my parents to let me quit high school but, I didnt. I didnt take the easy way out. I stayed in & got my diploma. I walked across that stage with my head held high & tears in my eyes. I stuck it out for myself, back then. Now, I stick it out for my daughter. & for my family. It was tough, making the decision to go college. Being out of high school for 5 years, having 4 classes to take, forgetting basically everything I knew about school. But, I have a support system behind me stronger than an Army. If you want something bad enough, you work for it, you strive for it & you earn it. You stop making excuses & start making plans. You dont quit! I held down those 4 classes, 4 days a week. I passed every one of those four classes. I held down being a mother, I held down two jobs. & I still made time to hold down my relationship. Now, Im going to start my second semester in college, & guess what? Im going to hold that down too! 👌🎓💯✅
