Well tonight was a great night.. I won my heat and pulled into tech.. Same rear end I have ran for 3 years all of a sudden has illegal bushings.. Come straight out of sped way and say that they are imca legal.. States they are an oem replacement bushing.. I call tom the head imca official, official at imca. Told him the problem and how the track said I was done for the night.. This is while hornets are rolling into the track.. He says suit up Ill call terry( fairmont tech guy) and tell him ur good to start at the back of the a main. Until this clarification my car sat on the trailer.. I never attempted to switch bushing cause I was told I was not allowed to race.. I am now told by one of the head imca tech Im good to race.. I start 18 and drive up to the top 4.. Last few laps let way off to finish out side of tech just to make sure there wouldnt be any problems.. They say top four to tech and 28.. I pull in and terry the own track official says Im sorry tom said its up to the track promoter if he wants to dq you being we no you didnt have time to change the stuff.. Al thoreson the track promoter said dq him.. My understanding was I was ok to go race the head imca guy was taking care of it.. I get dq and the track promoter wont even talk to me about it at the end of the night.. I left slayton cause they didnt no how to run a show.. But after the track promoter called the shot, to dq me.. After I was told i was eligible to run! I will be going back to slayton.. And Ill talk and convince as many drive as possible to follow me.. Cause tonight fairmont showed me 70 dollars in there pocket was worth more then earning a driver who brings 30 people to the races a night.. Thats roughly 400 dollars after admission and food that I will be giving to slayton now.. I have never been dq nor have I ever tried to cheat the system.. I have ran this rear end for three years.. All respect lost tonight fairmont..
