Well two of us have just been out in our Hi Vis Jackets informing those driving up West Street that, unless their property fronts the street or they are delivering to a property ON the street, cars should not be using it and giving written notice of the traffic order and contact details should they wish to question it......... This included someone from the council who was checking the signage and its effectiveness (which unfortunately is negligible!!) Generally people were genuinely unaware that it is Access Only but a number of them HAVE been politely spoken to about it before and completely ignored us...... Numbers taken! The Local Community Police will be helping us monitor this.
