Well, we are going to have some very happy IPR fans!!!! BETTY HAS FOUND HER FOREVER HOME!!! She will be staying right here with us! It only makes sense... While I am sure there is another home out there who can give Betty as much love as we have for her, and she in return... Matthew and I (and the rescue) have all agreed, she is best here where she is happiest. Betty has been through ALOT! Monday night she suffered a bad case of bloat. Matthew and I rushed her to the emergency clinic in Crestwood. Luckily they were able to save her life. The surgeon said she was within an hour of death and it was the worst case he had seen, and that only 5% of dogs survive. But Betty is a trooper! The rescue had called ahead with full surgical clearance, she, and we, are forever in awe at how much Its A Pittie is willing to put into their dogs! Not only has the rescue afforded Betty her sight in three previous surgeries (inversion to both lower lids, and conjunctival flap on her right eye), they are also committed to fixing her knees, both of which suffer from torn ligaments. The rescue, and ourselves are committed to seeing this sweet girl live out her best life possible, and we wouldnt be able to do that without the support of all of you! You all have done SO much for her, and other dogs in this amazing rescue, we hope you will continue your love and support by helping these dogs!
