Well we got through it last night and it was all for you my friend. It wasnt easy but we all had each other. Now every time those tones drop and the siren goes off you will be on our minds and be right there in the officers seat watching over us like you always did. We will do our job and when were finished well be listening for you to say time to get out of here. I will sit and watch baseball this year and when the Yankees win I can hear you saying, YES. The next snow storm Ill wait for your text to say who wants to do hydrants?. Ill be there like I always am digging them out and knowing your right there with me. Ill sit on my front porch this summer and wait for you to walk around the corner and say to me lets go and Ill go walking. I wont be a lone because youll be right by my side talking baseball and hunting like we always do. Then when hunting season comes a long Ill be waiting for that text of the picture of the deer you just got and smile like I always do. What I am trying to say is Im going to miss you and I will never forget you. You played a big role in my life and that part of me will never be the same. You taught me more than youll ever know and in your own little way took care of me as well. I want to say what an honor it was to share a part of my life with you and you with me. But my life is not the only one you did that with. You did that with so many we will never be the same. What a man you were my friend. Until we meet again thank you and as always. Rest easy well take it from here.
