Well we had another lightning strike to our home this is the third one in three months. Two to ours and one to our daughters who lives across the lake from us. We lost four tvs, two phones, our gaming station, and almost lost me, as I thought the storm was over and was on the phone talking to my daughter when it hit. The lightning knocked the phone out of my hand and I was hollow headed for the rest of the afternoon. Headache today, I guess it could have been much worse. However when we looked around the outside of the house,we saw that it had hit the dirt around a big oak tree outside our porch, killed a squirrel, hit the ground under our electric meter and tore all the insulation away. I smelled something burning thought of calling the fire dept, but I think I was in shock. We did find where it had burnt through the wiring in the ceiling of the porch. I have lived here in St. Pete all my life and know how lightning kills and does major damage to homes, but I have never seen anything like what happened to us yesterday. I look at the bright side, noone was hurt and things can be replaced. We will replace things just as we did before. I hope everyones weekend as been better than ours :( Love you guys :)
