Well we have the final schedual. Susan Susan Sims will be transferred back to the 5 th floor tonight from acute spinal rehab. She is scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning at 7:30 am. She will be having the damaged T-6 vertebrae removed and replaced by a prosthetic vertebrae. Also the sternum will be evaluated and repaired if the stability will not hold for the spinal surgery. The third surgery involves mounting a solid rod in her back from T2 thru T10 vertebrae which is based on findings during the surgery. This will be a major surgery and she will have to begin the recovery and rehab all over again. Please say a little prayer for the surgeons and nurses in the morning at 7:30. Ill keep everyone posted when the surgery is over.
