Well we just got back from a couple days in Arkansas, for my Sons surgery Thursday. We got up at 2:30 AM, to be at the Hospital by 5 Am, in Little Rock. Everything went well, and he says he feels just as good as before having it. Dr. said he may not be able to eat for a couple days and throat may be sore for awhile, but he could try, if he wanted to. He went home and ate a can of ravioli and mac & cheese, with no problem. He will go back for a check up on Tuesday and they will remove the feeding tube from his stomach, but will keep the trake in for a while longer. It will be 6 weeks or so, to see if the surgery has helped it, and when they went in his throat they found it to be a soft fluid filled sac that has been blocking his airway. That is why he could swallow food without problem, the food was just pushing the fluid sac to the side and allowed the food to go down. He may need more surgical treatments like this (shots & lazer I guess) a few months down the road. We had a nice time visiting with Shane, Jene, Jeana and the Grandkids too. Glad to be back home, now to get a little rest.
