Well what a day, arrived at 10 for a 10:15, was seen by Dr at 12 noon, had pre-chemo consult, went in told me to come back in 1/2 hour ... Sorry but I got at bit antsy, left the ward holding back tears, lost it in the corridor heart wrenching tears, had to let the wall hold me up ! ...pulled myself together, went off and had lunch and a Chai Latte... Went back and was treated with some kid gloves .... To be Honest, I was soooooooo shocked when I walked in to see everyone.... No offence, but a bit like Perth Station ..... I obviously had been holding a lot of fear in... Let it go with the tears and WOW, it ended up being a Very Positive Experience. Wouldnt recommend it of course but I walked out 3 hours later feeling OK. The Chemo is a GOOD treatment. About 1/2 way thru, I closed my eyes and pretty much feel asleep. I know what it is all about now, which always makes things much easier. During Chemo, I started reading Daniels story, very moving... and made it to the part when they had arrested his Killer! .... I had my Angels close by (a gift from Narelle), listened to my FAV tunes... and chatted to other patients and Nurses. TAYLOR was my Buddy, she made me LAUGH Hard so many times...
