Well, what a fun day at the Top Gear Festival Postie Bike Challenge. An All Star line up with the likes of Troy Bayliss, Kevin Magee, Glen Scott, Shawn Giles, Phil Lovett, Brayden Elliot, etc. It started with a Le Mans start. We all ran across the track and got a letter out of a letter box, ran to our bikes that were in a pile facing any which way in the middle of the straight. I started mine up and then almost ran Brayden Elliott over as I took off. I was off, 3rd position into the first turn, but that was short lived. My bike seemed so slow compared to the other bikes, Shawn Giles went flying past me down the back straight and even Phil Lovett. By the second lap I figured out that I had another gear to go up, lol. Once I found top gear I was on my way. On the last lap I flew up the inside of Giles and Lovett into turn two, had a bit of a back end wobble mid corner, but kept going head down bum up. I was gaining on second and the lead, but ran out of laps to finish 3rd. What a great day, lots of fun. I cant wait to do it all again tomorrow.
