Well what a very lazy touristy day today. LOL Lazy 7.30 wake up morning , Lovely hot shower . Probably best set up yet for a block type shower system, pity they haven’t a good cleaner. But I am cleaned and shaved, Now for a steak, egg, sausage, bacon, tomato and juice breakfast topped off with a cup of coffee. Boy am I going to have to work this off when I get back. Down the street for a walk to all the boutique and antique type shops and have a look around. Hmm all very interesting but as Nanny would say I think they want to keep them forever. Charging $1500 for a wooden bowl is a bit over the top . Yes I know they are suppose to be Hand carved but they must have been carved with a tea spoon. Oh well maybe just not my thing. There were some articles that you could see had some impressive work, but, for the price they were selling them, they must have been done in places that pay 10cents a day. All the buildings in the street reminded us of a little bit Strathalbyn and a little bit Hahndorf. Yes Di bit like English town too. Then off walking down the street to see the lovely Oldest Bridge in Australia with Beautiful surrounding gardens all around it.. What a feat they did almost 200 years ago. Then off we go towards Bruny Island, I am sure we can get closer than last night’s effort LOL. Off through Hobart city and out again , it is amazing how quickly we can do that. Grabbed some more fuel as I’m not sure if they will have fuel on the Island. Lined up for the ferry, but it doesn’t leave for another 45 minutes so we might grab a latte and something to eat in the Café. Shell lined up and paid for a latte and we sat down and waited and waited.” Hmmm Shell I think we will have to get your money back and we will have to get back to the vehicle to load it on the ferry” . Oh well we will find something on the Island surely. Well we did come in the off peak time but most things were closed till we had travelled almost 50km down to the bottom of the South Island. Finally a café. I will have a Chicken Burger with the lot thanks. Yum finally a takeaway meal worth the money , a beautiful fresh burger even with beetroot, that’s more like it, and I told her so, with a big thank you. Off to another Chocolate factory down the road with a few tastings of fudge LOL. Oh well not too many tasting but we did buy a couple of samples. Got to help the locals I guess. With a lovely leisurely stroll on the squeaky white sands of the crystal clear beach down to the mouth of Captain Cooks river with, my beautiful wife , we watched the daylight come to an end. What a lovely day. Back in the Camper now having the rest of my bottle of red and contemplating what to cook for tea. Hope you enjoyed my short news for the day.
